The event is over.

In July and August, come to the Basilica every Friday at 20:30 p.m. for an unusual visit! (Registration required)

Explore the behind-the-scenes of the Basilica of Lisieux, built from 1929 to 1954 in memory of Saint Therese in gratitude for her many graces! Through an unusual tour of the hidden places that will take you to the top of the dome, follow the men and women – workers, artisans, artists, and donors – who contributed to the construction of an extraordinary architectural edifice, soon to be a hundred years old, out of devotion to the “greatest saint of modern times.”

Explore the bowels of the basilica, with a climb up the dome, to relive the great and small history of a titanic construction site: the genesis of the project and the history of the founders, the construction techniques and architectural curiosities, the symbolism of the mosaics and stained glass windows, the bombing of June 6, 1944 and many other anecdotes that will pique your curiosity.

An unusual route with a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside, meeting at 20:30 p.m. !
