On June 24, we celebrate the birth of Saint John the Baptist, the son of Elizabeth and Zechariah, exactly 6 months before that of Jesus. With this feast, the Church invites her children to learn from the one who leaped for joy in his mother's womb, who baptized Jesus in the waters of the Jordan and designated him as the Lamb of God.
