The event is over.

To prepare for the 2025 Jubilee, Father Emmanuel Schwab, rector of the sanctuary, invites pilgrims of the spiritual “little way” of Saint Therese to accompany her relics, from Lisieux to Rome via sanctuary cities, for an exceptional pilgrimage from December 15 to 22, 2024.

From Wednesday 18th, take part in the general audience of Pope Francis for a public veneration of the relics. Then, visit Rome until Saturday evening by following Thérèse, Céline and Louis Martin in the footsteps of their pilgrimage of November 1887.

A unique opportunity to prepare for Christmas by celebrating holiness with joy.

A reliquary of Saint Thérèse at the Trinity of the Mountains

For the Jubilee Year “Pilgrims in Spem” (Pilgrims of Hope), Pope Francis wanted to associate several churches in Rome with holy female figures proclaimed Patrons and Doctors of the Church. For its link with France, Trinité-des-Monts will be dedicated to the memory of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, with the installation of a reliquary throughout 2025.

“We must keep lit the flame of hope that has been given to us, and do everything so that everyone finds the strength and certainty to look to the future with an open mind, a confident heart and a clear-sighted intelligence. The next Jubilee could greatly favor the rebuilding of a climate of hope and confidence, as a sign of a renewed renaissance of which we all feel the urgency. This is why I chose Pilgrims of Hope as the theme.”

Pope Francis, Letter for the Jubilee 2025

Relive Thérèse’s pilgrimage to Rome in 1887

To experience a beautiful Advent season, enlightened by the writings of the saint of Lisieux, retrace Thérèse's pilgrimage to Rome that she lived from November 4 to December 2, 1887 with her father Louis and her sister Céline to ask Pope Leo XIII for authorization to enter Carmel at the age of 15.

What a beautiful message of hope to repeat this journey with a reliquary of the “greatest saint of modern times”, for 8 days and 7 nights, under the spiritual guidance of Father Emmanuel Schwab, Rector of the Sanctuary!
