The event is over.

On the occasion of the liturgical feast of Saints Louis and Zélie, come to the Basilica of Saint Therese:

  • 11:00 Solemn Mass, Upper Basilica (live broadcast on our YouTube channel)
  • Prayer time around the reliquary of Saints Louis and Zélie, at 14 p.m., 15 p.m. and 16 p.m. (duration approximately 30 minutes), Martin Family Chapel
  • 17h30: Norwick Cathedral Choir Concert, UK, Upper Basilica

The daily 16:30 p.m. mass at the Crypt is maintained.

You will have the opportunity to discover the new Martin family chapel next to the Crypt of the Basilica which houses the reliquary of Thérèse's holy parents.

The Church, by registering the blessed Louis and Zélie Martin in the Book of Saints, establishes that they are honored with piety and devotion among the Saints in the universal Church. After praying to Thérèse, many pilgrims turn to her holy parents to present to the Lord what they are experiencing. To meditate before their holy relics, the Martin couple's shrine (where their bodies are preserved) is located in the Basilica in the Martin family chapel. The Liturgical Feast of Saints Louis and Zélie Martin remains fixed on July 12, the anniversary of their civil marriage at 22 p.m. on July 12, 1858, and of their religious marriage two hours later (at midnight). Their solemn Feast celebrated at the places of their earthly life in Alençon and Lisieux, allows you to know them better through the celebrations with the Liturgy specific to Saints Louis and Zélie Martin and also thanks to the visits and conferences given for the occasion.
